Truth, empathy, and integrity took center stage at the APSA Journalism Day 3 Awarding Ceremony

APSA Journalism Day 3 Awarding Ceremony held at NCBA Fairview on August 29, 2026, under the theme “Beyond Algorithms: The Human Side of Journalism.”

The event featured powerful insights from veteran journalists. Izzy Lee reminded delegates that authentic storytelling thrives on deep human connection and heart—qualities no algorithm can ever replicate. Meanwhile, Sir Raffy Tima shared invaluable lessons on ground reporting, ethical courage, and upholding truth in an automated digital landscape.

Their words set an inspiring tone for recognizing student excellence, including Neji P. Chang, who proudly secured 2nd Place in the News Writing Category! Neji’s commitment to sharp, accurate, and principled reporting truly stood out in a competitive field.

Congratulations to Neji, the speakers, and all delegates for keeping the human heart of journalism alive!
